General Chemistry I

A study of basic concepts in general chemistry with an emphasis on gas laws and nuclear processes. Other topics include composition and structure of matter, chemical reactions, bonding, solution chemistry, kinetics, thermodynamics, equilibrium, acids and bases, elec-tro-chemistry, and classification of organic compounds. Three hours of lecture, two hours of laboratory per week. Prerequisite: MAT 110
