Attention Students Whose Native Tongue is NOT English
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) measures the ability of students whose native tongue is not English to use and to understand English as it is spoken, written, and heard in college and university settings. The TOEFL is provided by the Educational Testing Services (ETS).
Beginning with applicants for the Spring 2007 trimester and forward, all BCHS applicants whose native tongue is not English will be required to submit, as part of their admissions requirements, a TOEFL score of 550 or above. Students who have TOEFL scores over a year old will be required to submit new scores.
Applicants may register for the TOEFL through ETS and may take the exam at a local testing center in Memphis. Call the BCHS Admissions Office at 901.575.2247 if you need additional information.
