Some interesting points about the major
- Our students were the first on campus to convert to electronic clinical recordkeeping to document their activities, interactions, and competencies.
- Our program has grown from an average of three students each graduating class to between 8 and 10 per year.
- Our program was one of only ten RC programs nationally that were awarded the "Excellence in Education" award by CoARC in 2009
How is the program structured?
The program is structured to offer professional coursework during the junior and senior class years. For academically gifted students, we offer a “Junior Option” which occasionally permits a traditional student to complete their professional coursework during the sophomore and junior years. These students complete selected general studies courses in their senior year while they work as therapists.
