NSG 330 Adult Health II (5.5)
Focuses on the promotion of health, prevention of illness, and the restoration of health during acute and/or chronic physical illnesses related to alterations in metabolism, digestion, and in sensory/nervous, musculoskeletal, and reproductive systems. The care of adults of all ages and their families is addressed including the preservation of dignity in life and in death. Critical thinking, communication, cross-cultural considerations, therapeutic interventions, and the role of the nurse as provider of care are integral components of this course. Three hours lecture; two and a half hours clinical. Prerequisites: NSG 323, NSG 320.
