Clinical Education
The clinical experience is vital to the success of the students and is an integral component of the Medical Radiography Program. Our clinical sites are Baptist Corporation facilities and non-Baptist facilities. They include large metropolitan hospitals, small community hospitals, orthopedic clinics, and out patient areas. These sites are located within the tri-state area of north Mississippi, west Tennessee and east Arkansas. Our students benefit from the experience of rotating through a variety of settings with diverse patient populations.
The students are in the clinics 24 hours a week and are responsible for their own transportation to and from the clinic sites. The clinical assignments provide students with the volume and variety of clinical experiences necessary to develop essential skills and successfully progress through the program. The student is expected to be present at all clinical assignments and any absences will be made up.
The student must always display a professional appearance in dress and grooming while in the clinical setting. The dress code will be distributed and explained to the students prior to the start of the clinical practicum.
