- That the public continues to rank Nursing as the most ethical profession!
- Nursing is the fastest growing occupation in the US. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment for registered nurses will grow faster than most other occupations.
- The primary pathway to professional Nursing, as compared to technical level practice, is the four year Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN). The Bachelor of Science degree in nursing is the critical first step for a career in professional nursing.
- The BSN nurse is prepared for a broader role. The BSN nurse is the only basic nursing graduate preferred to practice in all health care settings.
- BSN graduates are prepared for leadership, management and more independent nursing roles.
- The BSN nurse is preferred. More nurse executives are indicating their desire for the majority of staff nurses are prepared at the baccalaureate level to meet the more complex demands of today’s patient care.
- A BSN is required for advancement into a master’s and doctoral degree in nursing program.
