Baptist College department reports to the vice president administrative services. The department consists of a captain, lieutenant, eight uniformed patrolmen, and three college service coordinators. The department strives to provide high-quality security, safety, and crime prevention services that meet the needs and standards of a progressive academic institution. The department is responsible for overseeing the access control system, directing parking, conducting vehicular and foot patrols, and monitoring of the cameras located around campus.

Campus security has close and highly effective working relationships with Tennessee state and Memphis city police, who can pride services to the campus in a timely fashion, if required.

Baptist College provides early warning to alert the Baptist College community to certain crimes and/or incidents to aid in the prevention of similar crimes or incidents. These alerts are sent over the college e-mail system and via e2campus. The e2campus alert system sends text messages and e-mails to all students and staff enrolled. The instructions for signing up for e2campus are included in new student and employee orientations. Emergency response and evaluation information are displayed on the walls in all of our campus buildings and detailed in our Safety Plan. Emergency preparedness drills are held to practice the protocols for safety and evacuation.

We encourage all individuals on the campus to be conscious of their surroundings and assist in making security and safety a matter of routine in their activities.
