Medical Radiography Students Receive Conference Awards

At the Tennessee Society of Radiologic Technologists (TSRT) conference, BCHS medical radiography students received top awards. The Vogel Essay Award, given for the best student research paper, was presented to Sarah Lewis for her paper entitled Using MRI to Diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorders. Second place award went to Whitney Kirk for her paper entitled Forensic Imaging and Virtual Autopsy, and third place award went to Samantha Zimmerman for her paper entitled Spondylolisthesis and the Role of Radiography.

The TSRT McKnight Scientific poster award, which is given for the top posters, was won by BCHS students. First place went to Jenny Valentino, Thorton Ginn, and David Yim for their poster entitled fMRI. Second place went to Tiffany Rogers for her poster entitled Esophagram.
