A background check through the Tennessee Hospital Association is completed on all applicants as part of the admission process.

Baptist College of Health Science has a Zero Tolerance policy of drug use and abuse. All students are subject to random drug screens at any time during their time at BCHS. A random number of students is chosen each month for testing. Any person found to test positive for drugs is subject to immediate dismissal from the College.

In addition to all of the general college requirements, respiratory therapy students must also be able to meet the following technical standards.

In addition to meeting the Performance Standards published on pages 25 and 72, to perform the duties of the entry level technologist in Respiratory Care, the student must possess the:

  • dexterity to simultaneously manipulate equipment while performing multiple activities.
