Division of Nursing
Baptist College of Health Sciences is a fully accredited college in Tennessee, offering two tracks for attainment of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). One is designed for the student working toward a four-year degree in a traditional day or night and weekend curriculum plan. The other allows licensed registered nurses to complete the bachelors degree through an RN to BSN completion program.

Baptist College of Health Sciences specializes in educating health care professionals. Small classes and a dedicated faculty allow a strong health care focus in almost every class. In addition, the educational experience is wrapped in a faith based atmosphere, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, service, ethics, and spiritual values.
Nursing is pivotal in improving the health care status of the public while ensuring safe, effective, efficient, and quality care. Nursing, consistently named the most trusted profession, is in evolution and positioned to assume an ever expanding role, especially in light of health care reform. Well-educated, skilled nurses are essential to health care, and the faculty at Baptist College of Health Sciences is dedicated to providing the quality education that prepares nurses to succeed in the current health care environment.

Why BCHS may be the Nursing College for You:
- Since our first graduation in 1999, over 1200 Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees have been awarded.
- Nursing students gain clinical experience in a laboratory environment on campus. Our simulation lab includes high-level simulators that model human physiological responses. Students also gain experience in cutting edge medical settings throughout the tri-state area of Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. In particular, our affiliation with the Baptist Hospital system allows our students unparalleled access to enriching hands-on training.
- The NCLEX pass rate for BCHS students has been in the 90th percentile or better for the registered nurse licensure exam, consistently surpassing the pass rates for both the state of Tennessee and the United States.
