The primary physical facility for Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences is located at 1003 Monroe Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee, and contains 112,000 square feet with an atrium design. This building includes both educational facilities and residence quarters with single- and double-occupancy rooms. The facility contains classrooms; conference rooms; the library; and faculty, staff, and administrative offices.
The Health Sciences Library offers online indexes, an online catalog, journals, books, and various multi-media resources. It contains two student study rooms and a media room and serves as the open access site for computer usage at individual work stations. Two nursing laboratories provide resources for patient care simulation, including SimMan, an adult simulation mannequin. A state-of-the-art computer classroom is equipped with computers and laser printers.
Energized radiological sciences laboratories are located in the College Annex next door to the primary campus building. These laboratories allow imaging students to perfect their skills in simulated environments prior to performing patient care. Science and respiratory care classrooms and laboratories are located approximately one block from the main facility at 22 N. Pauline.
Campus Security
We at Baptist College of Health Sciences are concerned about the welfare, security and safety of every individual at the College. However, maintaining a secure and safe campus environment can only be achieved through a cooperative effort of the entire College community.
The Baptist College of Health Sciences Campus Security department is organized under the Vice President, Business and Administrative Services. The security department consists of a Lieutenant and six uniformed patrolmen. The department strives to provide high quality security, safety and crime prevention services that meet the needs and standards of a progressive academic institution. The department is responsible for providing security and safety for the entire College community. Patrolmen provide security services consisting of limited access control, vehicular patrol, and foot patrol. The Campus Security has close and highly effective working relationships with Tennessee state and Memphis city police, who can provide these services to the campus in a timely fashion, if required.
As previously noted, maintaining a safe and secure campus is not the sole responsibility of Campus Security. We encourage all individuals on this campus to be conscious of their surroundings and assist in making security and safety a matter of routine in their activities. It is the policy of Baptist College of Health Sciences to encourage all members of the College community to immediately report all criminal acts, suspicious circumstances/persons and all emergencies to Campus Security located at the campus main entrance. Reporting may be done in person; by telephone from on-campus phones by dialing 22468 or by telephone from off-campus phones by dialing 901-572-2468.
Clinical Facilities
Baptist College is the educational arm of a comprehensive health care system which offers a wealth of clinical experience within a three-state region. Extremely skilled clinical practitioners and outstanding clinical resources are hallmarks of a Baptist education.
Clinical facilities available within the nationally known Memphis medical community enrich the learning environment for students. Experiences include acute care, ambulatory care, home health, rehabilitation, and other diverse community-based clinical sites.

Many other agencies and support groups meet the unique learning needs associated with particular courses and provide additional alternatives for learning experiences. All agencies maintain the appropriate accreditation or approval, and proper clinical agreements are executed.
